The Jerome County Board of Commissioners voted March 23 to remove a lien on the Higley Group hangar at the county airport so the owners can use the hangar as collateral.
Airport manager Marthy Luhr told the board the owners had paid dues consistently and legal counsel recommended removing the lien. Commissioner Crouch moved to remove the lien and the motion passed unanimously.
The board also discussed a separate request from Mark Doerr to transfer a lease on a new hangar from his company name to his personal name; the commission asked staff to consult legal counsel to determine whether such a transfer is permissible.
