County creates state-required AOT social-work position and finalizes several DSS-funded roles

Community services staff asked the committee to create one senior social work assistant (CSEA grade 1) required for the Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) program; staff said the position is funded by additional state aid and that Mental Hygiene Law sections 9.47 and 9.48 specify program requirements. The committee approved creating the position and asked staff to attach the state guidance to future staffing requests.
Finance staff also confirmed several budgeted social-services positions (previously authorized in the budget and funded by state or federal sources) and the committee approved formally creating those roles. Staff reminded members that many positions receive partial reimbursement (for example, roughly 62¢ on the dollar in some DSS-funded cases) and said they will return with documentation when state guidance arrives.
