County renews Granicus contract for short-term rental monitoring at up to $52,000

Commissioner of Finance Mitch Alger told the committee that renewing the Granicus contract for one year at an annual cost not to exceed $52,000 is recommended because the software has helped the county identify and monitor short-term rental properties and increased revenue. The committee approved the renewal on a unanimous vote.
Alger characterized the expenditure as revenue-supporting: since the county began using the software, "we have seen a significant increase in revenue," he said. The renewed contract will allow the county to continue automated detection and compliance work related to short-term rentals while staff monitor the fiscal benefits.
