Two preliminary, non-action items were presented to the commission. Staff noted an application from Wendover Project LLC (COZ25-014) for a zoning change on APN 010740202 south of West Wendover; the matter is informational and the public hearing will occur in November. Staff also described COZ25-015 from the Elko County Fire Protection District, requesting a change from agricultural-residential to public for construction of a volunteer firehouse in the Rendon area; a landowner is proposing to donate the site conditional on zoning.
Staff emphasized both items were preliminary and no formal action was taken at the meeting. Commissioners and staff discussed map labeling and application-number corrections that will be addressed before the formal public hearings.
