The Floyd County Council passed three ordinances during its Jan. 7 meeting: Ordinance 2026-01 (end of 2025 transfers), Ordinance 2026-02 (Jan. 7, 2026 transfers) and Ordinance 2026-03 (Jan. 7, 2026 additional appropriations). Motions to approve each ordinance were moved and seconded and recorded as passed (Ordinance 2026-03 passed 6-1). The council then heard a brief public comment from David Isaacs about a Solid Waste District decision, and adjourned by unanimous motion.
The minutes from the Jan. 7 meeting were approved on Feb. 10, 2026 and the document bears the signatures of Council President Danny Short, Vice President Dale Bagshaw and Auditor Diana Topping.
