Floyd County Council unanimously adopts 2026 budget and salary ordinance

The Floyd County Council met Oct. 14, 2025 at Pineview Government Center and approved binding unit budgets for Solid Waste, township fire territories and the Highlander Fire Protection District. The council then adopted the Floyd County 2026 budget as advertised (adopted tax levy 0.3724) and passed the 2026 Salary Ordinance by unanimous vote.
Motions were moved and seconded by council members as recorded in the minutes: the Solid Waste budget was approved on a motion by Denise Konkle and second by Dale Bagshaw; the Georgetown Township fire territory and other binding units were approved by similar motions. The council adjourned after recording the approvals.
