On Dec. 18 the Blackford County Council approved a package of budgetary transfers and encumbrances and a reduction to an EMS subsidy appropriation. Transfers approved included line-item moves in the Sheriff’s budget (Co. General Sheriff - $3,648.22), Garage, Auditor, Treasurer, Assessor, Prosecutor Diversion and MVH accounts; the motion to approve transfers passed 7/0.
The council also approved encumbrances listed in the minutes: LIT encumbrances totaling $232,110 (including $21,900 for building repairs and $35,500 for investigations), Cumulative Capital $35,500 for culverts, Transfer Station $2,968 for building repair, MVH equipment and a $35,939.26 dump truck purchase, and a $50,000 EDIT allocation for stormwater. The minutes record approval of a reduction in appropriation of $171,000 from EMS Subsidy in the County General Commissioner budget; that motion passed 7/0.
