At the Sept. 9 budget hearing, Daraius Randelia said his staff are at capacity and requested that the county fund an additional community corrections position at $53,625 to sustain services paid from the DOC Adult Community Corrections Grant and related accounts.
Auditor Diana Topping and council members discussed fund reassignments and agreed later in the hearing to move a community corrections new position from the DOC grant to the Public Safety LIT fund as part of a package of fund shifts recommended to address cap and continuity issues.
