Building commissioner Conner Barnette resigns; Daulton Anderson named successor

Commissioner Drew Markel addressed Building Commissioner Conner Barnette to accept his resignation, effective Thursday, Aug. 21. Markel, Commissioner Matt Reedy and Commissioner Drew Storey each praised Barnette's service, with Markel saying Barnette had improved the quality of building inspections and that homeowners have benefitted from the program.
Barnette told the board it had been "what a huge honor it has been to work with them; as well as the Council, the Plan Commission, all the other office holders, and the BZA over the last 10 years." The board announced that Daulton Anderson will take over Barnette's position. Commissioner Markel made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
