Tyrone Thomas, Probation, reported the department had 415 investigations ordered in 2025 (excluding juvenile investigations). He said the office currently supervises 665 adult cases, 21 JD cases and 382 restitution cases. Thomas told the committee he is reviewing another company for Electronic Home Monitoring to lower costs.
The committee approved resolution 1-26-JP-6, authorizing the chair to execute an agreement between Cayuga County Probation and IPPC Technologies, Inc. for monitoring services for sex offenders. The motion was made by Aileen McNabb-Coleman, seconded by Tom Winslow, and recorded as "all in favor." No contract dollar amount was provided in the meeting transcript.
