The Miami County Board of Zoning Appeals approved the following actions at its June 10, 2026 meeting:
• VAR #145‑26 (Ralph E. Cloar Sr.): Approved 5–0. Condition: old dwelling to be demolished no later than 1 year after the new Certificate of Occupancy.
• VAR #149‑26 (Michelle Hale): Approved (findings recorded with one dissent on Finding 4; overall approval). No conditions recorded.
• VAR #152‑26 (Crown Haven Center LLC): Approved with conditions requiring secure storage, all work indoors, regulatory compliance, and no firearm discharge or testing on the property. Neighbors objected.
• SPEX #156‑26 and VAR #159‑26 (Harry & Suzanne Plotner/Tillman Infrastructure): Both approved. Developer stated the new tower will be ~5 feet taller and include a 10‑foot lightning rod; decommissioning responsibility identified as AT&T's.
• VAR #158‑26 (Jason & Lelia Bowland): Approved. Condition: existing dwelling to be demolished no later than six months after the Certificate of Occupancy for the new dwelling.
The board also voted unanimously to change its regular meetings to the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
