The Miami County Plan Commission on June 10 voted to assign a $5,000 fine in Unsafe Building Case #20-23 concerning the Stonger Family Trust property at 467 E 800 S in Bunker Hill. Commissioner Scarlett Graves moved for the fine and a required status update in 30 days; the motion passed 6–1.
Planner Corey Roser told the commission that staff observed no substantial change at the property since the prior meeting. Property representative Tristan Stonger submitted IDEM documentation from the agency and said the project is awaiting financing. Roser and the board noted the matter has been open since 2023 and that the latest enforcement order dates to January 2025. The fine and the 30-day update requirement are intended to prompt remediation or confirm a timetable for repairs.
