The Miami County Council voted 7-0 to approve $100,000 from the County Economic Development Income Tax (CEDIT) fund to add fire pull boxes and alarms at Hanger 200 to meet Homeland Security requirements. Jim Tidd of MCEDA told the council the work should take about 90 days to complete.
MCEDA presented the $100,000 estimate as necessary to bring the facility into compliance. The appropriation was moved and seconded and recorded as approved by a unanimous vote. The council did not attach additional conditions in the recorded action; implementation details and procurement will proceed through MCEDA and county staff oversight.
