Board secretary: solar bid did not meet qualifications; district will rebid

Board secretary Jackie Pesci reported that the district went out for bids on a solar project but the proposal on the agenda did not meet the bid qualifications and must be rejected. "The bid, unfortunately, did not meet the qualifications and [we're] gonna have to rebid it," Pesci said, and the district advertised a fee-bid opening for Aug. 6.
The board placed a resolution on the agenda to reject the proposal and signaled it will solicit a new procurement cycle; no final contract award or vendor name was disclosed during the meeting.
