Judge Johnson announces rodeo arena lighting event, probation office move and painting dedication

Judge Lisa Johnson used the announcements portion of the Sept. 30 meeting to relay administrative changes and community events.
She said the juvenile probation office has moved to the Exhibition Building and reported that new lights had been installed at the Rodeo Arena; the CRA Board planned an event, "Lighting of the Arena," on Oct. 1 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. She invited the public to attend. Johnson also noted Purple Wave auction proceeds were presented, that the CVFD contributed $25,000 toward new radios and headsets (which put that capital outlay over budget by $28,000), that Andy Holloway requested more chairs and tables for the pavilion, and that a dedication of the painting will occur at the Oct. 14 commissioners' court meeting at 10:30 a.m.
These announcements were recorded but required no formal court action at the Sept. 30 meeting.
