Cherokee County board elects Myra Frazier chair and Cory Moates vice-chair, confirms multiple appointments

Following swearing in of the newly formed board, the commissioners selected leadership and confirmed administrative appointments. Commissioner Myra Frazier was appointed chair after a motion by Commissioner Cory Moates and second by Jack Garner. The Board then appointed Cory Moates as vice-chair on a motion by Garner, seconded by Frazier. Both motions passed unanimously.
The Board also appointed Mense CPA Firm as county auditor and reappointed attorney Jake Conard as county counselor. These administrative actions were recorded as unanimous votes in the Jan. 13 minutes.
