Fayette County authorized to enter GOWBI WIOA sub-grant for July 2026–June 2027

The Fayette County commissioners on March 23 authorized the county's chief elected official to sign a sub-grant agreement with the Greater Ohio Workforce Board, Inc. (GOWBI) and the GOWBI Chief Elected Officials Consortium to receive Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funds for July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.
The resolution, moved by Commissioner Donald L. Fleak and seconded by Commissioner Tony Anderson, notes that the GOWBI Board is the awarding entity for WIOA funds and that the Grant Agreement between GOWBI and Fayette County (as Sub-Grantee 7324-1) is a requirement to receive the funds. The board authorized the chairman or his designee to sign the sub-grant on behalf of the county.
