During the consent and welcome portion of the meeting the clerk read newly approved hires for the 2025–26 and 2026–27 years. New positions listed included ELOP instructional aide Tyler Kamada; Darcy Hamilton as a self‑contained classroom teacher (26–27); Jillian Hernandez as a 7–8 science teacher; Kimberly Johnston as a special education instructional aide for extensive support needs; Lenore Medina as K–8 vice principal; and Ashley Palmer as coordinator of curriculum, instruction and programs.
Lenore Medina addressed the board and introduced herself: "My name is Lenore Medina and, I am happy to look forward. I was in Los Angeles Unified for 24 years before I moved to the Central Valley..." Medina described a background in English Learner Development and expressed enthusiasm for serving at Cuesta and within the Lammersville community. The board welcomed the hires and the personnel actions on the consent calendar were approved on a single motion.
