Board approves four-year extension for superintendent through 2026–2030

The Lammersville Joint Unified Board of Education voted to approve a four‑year contract extension for Superintendent Dr. Nicholas that runs from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2030. The staff presentation said the contract is based on a 240‑day work year with a per diem of $1,239, full medical benefits, 19 vacation days, a longevity step and medical coverage to age 65.

During discussion trustees offered public thanks for the superintendent’s work. Trustee Lisa Boulet told the superintendent, “I just wanna thank doctor Nicholas for your all your dedication, your passion for this district, and how hard you work.” On a motion by Trustee Stephanie Olsen and seconded by Trustee Lisa Boulet the board approved the extension; the student trustee cast a preferential vote and the motion carried with five ayes.

The staff report described contract provisions consistent with district leadership positions, including reimbursements, exit dues and education stipends. The board did not identify any amendments to the posted terms during the public discussion. The approval was recorded as a formal action in the meeting minutes and will be reflected in the superintendent’s personnel file.
