Assistant superintendent Sharp outlines Lammersville Joint Unified Year‑3 LCAP goals to close opportunity gaps

Assistant Superintendent Sharp presented the district’s year‑three Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) for 2026–27, telling the board the plan focuses on three goals: “systematic closure of the opportunity gaps,” instruction and curriculum efficacy, and 21st‑century outcomes and stakeholder communication. Sharp said the plan aligns actions and metrics across the eight state priorities and includes interventions such as targeted progress monitoring, expanded career and technical education, and supports funded through LCFF and LREBG.

Sharp reviewed subgroup performance on the district’s most recent state assessments and said the district examines subgroup results against county and state benchmarks. “So our district has 3 goals. Goal 1, systematic closure of the opportunity gaps,” Sharp said. The presentation cited district percentages for ELA (75.71% advanced or proficient), math (71.74% advanced or proficient) and science (65.95% advanced or proficient) and noted English learners, long‑term English learners (LTELs), and students with disabilities remain priority groups for improvement. Sharp told trustees that the LCAP document contains baseline, year‑by‑year targets and subgroup breakouts, and that school‑site councils, DAC/DELAC/ELAC, surveys and forums informed the plan.
