Community Development Director Diane Cucar told the commission that state reviewers approved two phases for the Evergreen property project and that SKEDD (Service, Knowledge and Economic Development District) indicated it might reallocate $100,000 to $160,000 from other projects to help complete the road work.
Cucar said the county would still need to provide a grant match; she has $20,000 available but that would limit her ability to pursue other grants this year. She said the state should decide whether additional SKEDD funds can be applied by about May 22 and that an extension was approved with work to be completed by August.
