"Commissioner Liebau moved and Commissioner Russell seconded the motion to amend policy 20.32 under the Authorization and Procedure to raise the amount from $1,000 to $2,500 and under the Emergency Purchases from up to $5,000 to up to $10,000. All wording will stay the same. Motion carried 3-0." The motion, introduced by Commissioner Jake Liebau and seconded by Commissioner Perry Russell, passed by a 3-0 vote.
County officials said the wording of the policy remains otherwise unchanged; the amendment adjusts only the monetary thresholds that trigger different procurement procedures. County Counselor Paul Dean was present during the discussion and in subsequent executive sessions recorded in the minutes.
The amendment takes effect as the board directed; no implementation date beyond adoption was specified in the minutes.
