At the March 31 Human Services Committee meeting, the Office for the Aging reported program caseload and service levels, including "HDM (Home Delivered Meals) ~ 324 active participants with 261 meals being served today" and Alzheimer caregiver services serving about 66 families. The OFA also provided average daily attendance figures for congregate meal sites at Arcade (avg. 10/day), Pine Lounge, Cowlesville (avg. 36/day), Breezeway Barn, Perry (avg. 80/day) and Perry restaurants (avg. 69/month).
The committee approved a 2026 appropriation to use a $5,000 Exhale Grant cash advance to purchase items and pay for extra caregiver services (motion by Perkins; Ayes: 7) and authorized a professional service contract pursuant to General Municipal Law §104(b) with 4-S Theatre and Restaurant, Inc. DBA Charcoal Corral for restaurant dining to residents 60+ (MUNIS Contract #3697), effective March 1, 2026 through Dec. 31, 2028 (motion by Becker; Ayes: 7). The OFA 2025 Annual Report was noted on the agenda.
