County Clerk Rebecca Brassart presented the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners with the 2025 operation and maintenance assurance statement from KDWP for the Old Route 66 roadside park and asked that the board accept it so she could return the paperwork to the agency. Commissioner Jack Garner moved to accept the assurance statement; Commissioner Cory Moates seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
The acceptance authorizes the clerk to return the signed assurance to KDWP. The statement was described in the meeting as an annual requirement for operation and maintenance of the roadside park; the board did not attach additional conditions during the recorded discussion.
