Staff updates: Arrowhead Drive bids, downtown work, utility installs and CDBG Phase II progress

City staff reported that bid forms for Arrowhead Drive will go out this week, downtown work continues, two Insta-Valves were installed for the downtown project, and the CDBG Downtown Revitalization program is in its final Phase II environmental stage.
During staff reports the council was briefed on several near-term public-works and economic-development items. City staff indicated bid forms for Arrowhead Drive would be issued this week and noted ongoing downtown street work. The utility department reported installation of two Insta-Valves for a downtown project and other service work including burial of a line in front of the new generator building and Turnbull water and electric service installations.
Economic development staff Doug Goracke reported progress toward several demolition projects, a call from the owners of Belle Terrace, slow movement on a Grid Grant, and that the CDBG Downtown Revitalization (DTR) program is in its final Phase II environmental stage. Bids for drainage and a manhole were included in the meeting packet.
