The adopted resolution states that "the duly elected County Clerk, Denise Gill (the \"County Clerk\") has not reported to work since February 12, 2026;" and that the board found grounds under the cited Idaho statutes to declare the office vacant and directed county officials to notify the appropriate appointing authorities and take steps to fill or administer the office under state law. The resolution takes effect immediately upon adoption.
