Staff test calendar routing; 'local and private' flag noted for sub-calendars

Presenters demonstrated how a bill reported out of committee appears in a committee-reports queue and must be assigned by staff to the appropriate calendar (for example general, appropriations or local and private). A staff participant noted that footers and file-name metadata already include shorthand indicators — "a" for appropriations and "l" for local and private — that could help populate calendars automatically.
An attendee asked whether double-referred bills could be routed automatically; the presenter said the system will prompt the user when a bill has multiple referrals but that clerks still select the final calendar placement. Staff said that matching deadlines to calendars may require additional metadata from the bill so clerks do not have to research vote thresholds or other details before slotting items on a calendar.
