The Clark County Board of Commissioners met in a special session May 5 in the Commissioner Room of the Clark County Courthouse. Chairman Sara Gjerde called the meeting to order at 7:00 a.m.; Commissioners Chris Sass, Francis Hass, David Spieker and Terry Schlagel and Auditor Christine Tarbox were present.
The board approved the special meeting agenda on a motion by Commissioner David Spieker, seconded by Commissioner Francis Hass. The board voted to enter executive session at 7:02 a.m. under SDCL 1-25-2(1) (personnel). Members recessed at 8:10 a.m. and reconvened at 9:30 a.m.; the chairman declared the board out of executive session at 9:32 a.m. The meeting adjourned at 9:36 a.m.; the next regular meeting was scheduled for May 19, 2026 at 8:00 a.m.
