District leadership reported results of a facilities review with consultant inBYLT at the July 27 meeting, saying most major building systems remain in good condition but that parking areas and athletic fields need attention.
Business Manager Norman Nelis and board members (including Paul Olson and Chair Ben Anderson) met with inBYLT to continue long-term facilities planning. Nelis reported that inBYLT advised the district to prioritize the parking lot and athletic fields and provided guidance on developing long-term maintenance schedules. Separately, Butche said he and Chair Ben Anderson met with city officials regarding the baseball field and that the city "intends to honor our current agreement, and if future development plans change, they have committed to providing adequate notice so the district has time to evaluate options." The board did not take formal action on capital projects during this meeting.
The discussion indicates the district will continue planning and budgeting for surface and field work in future capital maintenance cycles.
