Public Works Superintendent Jon Jordan told commissioners the county contracted out line painting last year and presented three options: continue the current contractor at a discounted second-year rate, buy upgraded equipment to match contracted results, or use existing county equipment despite its age and limited parts availability. Commissioners voted to pursue Option 3 while Jordan continues to search for used replacement equipment.
