The council authorized an F-150 pickup truck for police supervisors under a four-year municipal lease.
A department representative described the vehicle and its purpose: "...we are currently trying to purchase a F150 pickup truck... 4 door, the short bed, and it's gonna have a, a cover on the back that's gonna be weatherproof... capable of holding 1 to 2,000 pounds." Staff proposed a four-year lease at 5.85% interest with an annual cost of $20,582.
The chair moved to allow the interim manager to sign the lease with the named bank and to fund the purchase from the police CIP account for fiscal 2027; the council voted to approve the motion (the chair announced the motion passed 5-0). The vehicle will be outfitted with department graphics and equipment per specifications.
