SVUSD board approves staffing changes, adds K12 Pathway Coordinator to salary schedule
Summary
Trustees ratified multiple staff hires and resignations, approved early-notification incentive payments, and added a K12 Pathway Coordinator to the Classified Management salary schedule at the Feb. 19, 2025 meeting. Motions carried unanimously (5–0).
The Board ratified several personnel actions in the consent agenda and regular agenda at the Feb. 19 meeting. Ratified employment on the consent agenda included Ben Morris (Student Services Specialist / Certified Wellness Coach, SVJH), Jessica Sanchez (K12 Pathway Coordinator, Siskiyou County-wide), and several volunteer/assistant coaching appointments at Etna High School. Separately, Superintendent Micheline Miglis reported resignations/retirements from Joy Edwards (Human Resources/Payroll Coordinator), Dianne Hasemeyer (Transportation Supervisor/Bus Driver), Laurie Sweezey (Paraprofessional), and Neil Whipple (Bus Driver).
On the regular agenda the Board approved adding a K12 Pathway Coordinator to the Classified Management and Confidential Unrepresented Salary Schedule (motion by Jennifer Thackeray; second by Jim Harris), and approved payment of early-notification incentives to CSEA and unrepresented staff named in the minutes (Dianne Hasemeyer, Laurie Sweezey, Joy Edwards). All personnel-related votes recorded in the minutes passed 5–0.
