Highway administrator reports KDWP right-of-way concern and Board approves $100,000 transfer

Interim Highway Administrator Jeff Germann told the Board that the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks had inquired about right-of-way status between the county and KDWP and recommended the replacement of the bridge on Buffalo Road between 2nd and 3rd Roads. He reported highway crews spent the week blading roads, installing pipes, mowing roadsides and working in the shop.
The Board approved a transfer of $100,000 from the Special Highway Fund to the Road and Bridge Fund to support highway operations and projects. Commissioner Carlson moved the executive-session motion on non-elected personnel to discuss job duties for 10 minutes; the session began at 10:53 a.m. and the Board reconvened at 11:03 a.m. with no action taken.
