The Jackson County Board approved a purchase order to CDW for $4,513.11 to fund one year of maintenance on the county’s IBM server (motion by Commissioner Linda Gerhardt; second by Commissioner Keith Kelly; 2-0). The Board also approved amended minutes from July 13, 2026.
Personnel entries recorded in the minutes show Sheriff Samuel Taff hired full time at $24.52 hourly and Attorney Allison Steerman advanced to an intern role at $18.00 hourly. The Board approved an Emergency Vehicle Designation application for Darren Lamme and received thank-you notes from the Hoyt Rural Fire Department and the Holton/Jackson County Chamber for event sponsorships. Commissioner Gerhardt moved to adjourn at 10:35 a.m.; Commissioner Kelly seconded and the motion carried 2-0. The next regular meeting is scheduled for July 27, 2026 at 9 a.m.
