Zoning Administrator Steve Duryea presented three proposed amendments to the county zoning regulations on July 20. The Board approved Resolution 2026-13, which removes references to a Certificate of Occupancy for agricultural structures and land, and Resolution 2026-14, which reinforces fee exemptions for agricultural structures on agricultural land and for nonresidential structures 600 square feet or smaller. Both motions were moved by Commissioner Linda Gerhardt and seconded by Commissioner Keith Kelly; each passed 2-0.
Duryea said a third amendment was tabled until Chairman Mark Pruett could be present. He also reported a follow-up inspection of a reported camper-as-dwelling case and found it was not being used as a dwelling; that residence is experiencing septic issues and NEKES indicated the resident must sign paperwork to begin grant funding, and Duryea said he would contact Martha to assist with signatures.
