Stephens County commissioners adopt several ordinance updates including building-regulation date clarifications

On Sept. 23 the Stephens County Board of Commissioners approved a package of ordinance changes covering three items on the agenda.
Item 1 adopted changes described as the Stephens County Bridal Ordinance. Item 2 adopted changes to the building and building regulations ordinance; staff said a material change at second reading clarifies that vacation permits will be issued from May 1 through Sept. 30. Item 3 moved camper-permit language from the Manufactured Homes and Trailers Ordinance into the Building and Building Regulations Ordinance; staff said there were no other material changes.
Each item was approved after a motion and second and carried by voice vote. Staff said some fee schedule entries and permit types related to the changes will be added to the county’s one-stop-shop fee documentation.
