Police Juror Ryan Byrd moved, and Warren McCray, Jr. seconded, to authorize the Office of Emergency Preparedness Director to advertise Requests for Proposals for "Disaster Debris Hauling" and "Disaster Debris Monitoring" services to ensure parish readiness for the 2026–2027 fiscal years. The motion was carried unanimously by the Police Jurors present.
The measure authorizes staff to begin procurement steps to secure debris-hauling and monitoring contracts in advance of the next fiscal year; the minutes do not list budgets, procurement schedules, or candidate firms. Execution of any contract will follow RFP responses and normal procurement procedures.
Provenance: Motion recorded in SEG 008.
