County staff presented a request for the fire department to purchase cardiac monitors at a total cost of $74,750. Staff said funding for the purchase will come from the EMS fund and introduced a budget amendment to move the money to the fire department.
"The total amount is $74,750. Funding will come from the EMS fund," a staff member said; another staff member noted a budget amendment had been prepared. The chair called for a motion to approve both the purchase and the budget amendment; the motion was seconded and carried.
Commissioners did not add conditions to the purchase at the meeting. Staff indicated the transfer would be processed through a formal budget amendment and that the fire department would oversee the equipment purchase.
