Board approves lease-leaseback contracts with Wright Contracting for PS and BH projects

On Oct. 16 the Sebastopol Union School District Board approved a package of contractual steps to move forward with construction at Park Side and Brook Haven.
The Board voted to approve the lease-leaseback contract with Wright Contracting, and then approved both a sublease and a site lease agreement for Wright Contracting to perform the PS and BH projects. Each item was moved and seconded as recorded in the meeting minutes and approved by the four attending trustees (4-0, 1 absent).
District staff presented the procurement steps for a lease-leaseback approach earlier in the meeting; counsel and the district's bond and construction advisors recommended the agreements as consistent with the planned financing and oversight structure. The approvals authorize staff to finalize contract documents and proceed with preconstruction planning with Wright Contracting.
