Alyssa Erickson and Sara Peschel reviewed native agriculture, planting zones and materials choices and emphasized designing spaces appropriate to different age groups.
"They reviewed the native agriculture in the area recognizing that small children like to pick up and touch the nature around them," the minutes state. The presentation addressed perimeter and interior fencing, drainage challenges, storm-water capture opportunities and suggested planting options tailored to preschool and older-student areas.
Grounds Works Office recommended continued site analysis and collaboration with district administrators; minutes list next steps as board/admin feedback, schematic design and further site planning.
