Road Superintendent Joe Gardner told the Board crews would meet with FEMA and Pat Korte the next day to discuss flood damage in the northern part of the county and that he planned to observe Wabaunsee County's application of Perma-Zyme later. He said the patching crew is using hot-mix asphalt to repair portions of 110 and 118 Roads and that the shop crew is working on a salt spreader and annual blade maintenance.
Gardner reported the department is evaluating iWorks software for Road and Bridge operations and noted that the Cat GPS currently available would show equipment location once per day without additional cost for more frequent tracking; commissioners asked him to collect cost details. He also reported that the county's 05-17 Mack truck requires ECM service at an authorized dealer.
