During open discussion the board reviewed potential changes to planning‑board procedures, including minimum lot sizes, subdivision thresholds and when a plat would be required. Staffer Luke was asked to gather information and bring it back to the commission at its June 16, 2026 meeting for further consideration.
The Board of Adjustment portion of the meeting also noted that a Lamar Hutterian request for a religious farming community had been withdrawn and replaced by a split application that will be heard on June 16; the board emphasized it could not hear testimony on the withdrawn item at the May 19 meeting.
