The Clark County Board of Commissioners on June 4 approved multiple personnel actions for the county ambulance service. The board hired Tayler Sattler as a full-time paramedic effective June 4, 2026; the hire carries the current paramedic pay rate, a six-month probationary period and eligibility for the new-hire bonus. That motion was moved by Commissioner Terry Schlagel and seconded by Commissioner Chris Sass and carried with all voting aye.
Separately, the board approved a reimbursement schedule for EMT training fees — one-third when students start, one-third upon passing the certification exam, and the final one-third after the student attends their first run — and authorized monthly payments to staff for ambulance duties and administration: Lori King $200/month for Station I maintenance; Cody Forbes $200/month for Station II maintenance; Colleen Hohm $500/month as Station II liaison/administrative dues; and Meghan Marx $1,000/month as acting ambulance administrator. Those compensation items were approved by motion of David Spieker, seconded by Chris Sass.
