The commission also approved hiring Linda Hofer as a part‑time EMT and appointed Megan Marx as Interim Ambulance Administrator at $400 per month while Hohm will receive $600 per month until duties are reassigned.
The board approved a signing‑bonus program for full‑time ambulance employees: $500 after one month of service, $1,000 after six months and $1,500 after one year. Acting Administrator Colleen Hohm told the board there are seven people interested in a county EMT class; the commission agreed to contact a trainer and schedule the class at a cost of $900 per student.
Commissioners discussed whether Clark Station 1 should remain an ALS (advanced life support) unit; Hohm suggested temporarily leaving the station as BLS until new staff are trained and documentation is complete, and the board agreed to consult Louann Streff to determine necessary drugs and paperwork before any change is made.
