Clark County BOE approves property tax freezes for seniors and disabled veterans

For the disabled veterans program, Reidburn reported 11 applicants benefited and one paraplegic-veteran freeze assessment was granted; the motion to allow the director to freeze those assessments passed on a motion by Commissioner Terry Schlagel and a second by Commissioner David Spieker.
The board's actions were procedural approvals authorizing the director to apply statutory freezes; no new local policy language was adopted at the meeting. Chairman Sara Gjerde presided throughout the item and the board recorded unanimous votes on the motions.
