Board of Adjustment approves temporary commercial greenhouse permit, adds removal condition

The Board of Adjustment granted Lincoln Reidburn a conditional use permit to operate a seasonal commercial greenhouse, subject to a board amendment making the permit non-transferable and requiring removal of all nonpermanent structures by Aug. 15. The decision was unanimous.
The Clark County Board of Adjustment approved a conditional use permit April 7 allowing Lincoln Reidburn to operate a commercial greenhouse on the west 260 feet of Lot A in Lincoln Township. The applicant sought to operate the greenhouse from April through July with the option to reopen the next year; the board’s approval was conditioned to make the permit non-transferable and to require removal of all nonpermanent structures by Aug. 15.
Vice Chairman Terry Schlagel presided over the Board of Adjustment session after the County Commission recessed. Staff member Luke Muller summarized planning considerations and asked the questions for findings of fact; Lincoln Reidburn spoke on his own behalf and no other public testimony was recorded. The minutes note the board discussed time frames for removing items and restated the motion to approve with the additional conditions before recording a unanimous vote.
