The City Council met in a workshop on Aug. 12 to review the proposed fiscal year 2025 budget, which staff said is based on a 6.33 operating millage and estimated revenue of $11,910,864. Bridget, the staff presenter, said the budget reflects rising personnel and benefits costs and incorporates changes discussed in two earlier budget workshops.
"The fiscal year 25 budget is based on a 6.33 millage," Bridget said, and she gave the estimated revenue figure during the presentation. She summarized the budget as balanced and said it groups general fund, special revenues, debt service and capital projects into a combined citywide package. Staff announced two public hearings on the budget on Sept. 9 (which will include the final fire assessment resolution) and Sept. 23, both beginning at 6 p.m.
