The Board approved two intergovernmental agreements with the City of Springfield: an annual $75,000 contract to establish and support a shared GIS system and a $30,000 contract to host the city’s GIS data layers on the county website. Both contracts run from Jan. 1, 2026 through Dec. 31, 2030.
Commissioner Charles A. Patterson moved to authorize the contracts at the Auditor’s request; Commissioner Richard L. Lohnes seconded the motion. The roll call vote was unanimous. County staff indicated these arrangements are intended to centralize GIS resources and provide online access to city layers via the county-hosted site.
