Mr. Joe Evans moved to accept the resignation of President Larry Bates; Mr. Robin Cummings seconded. The board voted 7 yeas, 0 nays, 0 absent, 0 abstained and the motion carried. Following the vacancy, Mr. Robin Cummings moved to open nominations for president and Mr. Frank McLaren nominated Mr. Glenn Austin. Mr. Tony McManus moved to close nominations; the nomination vote for Mr. Austin passed 7-0 and he was elected president.
The meeting record shows the motions and votes were formal and unanimous. The board immediately heard from President Austin, who confirmed receipt of GIS data from Dr. Wu and said the board needs an updatable website and an employee to manage online content and pursue grants.
