Seeley Union board approves routine minutes, payroll, payables and two MOUs

The Seeley Union School District Board of Trustees approved a set of routine items during its Oct. 14, 2025 meeting, including the minutes from the Sept. 9, 2025 meeting, the district's September payroll and the September accounts payable. The actions were recorded as motions and each vote was recorded as "motion carried 5-0."
Board members moved and seconded the items as noted in the public minutes: the minutes were approved on a motion by J. Garcia, seconded by M. Morales; the September payroll was approved on a motion by A. Parga, seconded by J. Garcia; and the accounts payable were approved on a motion by M. Morales, seconded by J. Garcia. The minutes list the vote outcome for each as unanimous (5-0).
The board also approved two interagency agreements: a revised 2025–2026 memorandum of understanding (MOU) for speech services with Heber Elementary School District (motioned by A. Parga, seconded by P. Burton) and the 2025–2026 Migrant MOU with the Imperial County Office of Education (motioned by A. Parga, seconded by M. Morales). Both agreements were recorded as approved, each with a 5-0 vote.
Next procedural business noted on the agenda included adoption of multiple board policy updates (see separate article) and a set of staff presentations and informational items; there was no public comment recorded and closed sessions produced no reportable action.
